Walt Disney is a very famous man that created very famous cartoons such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and the rest. He has lots of theme parks around the world. Walt Disney was born on December 5,1901 in Chicago,Illinois. He died on December 15,1966 caused by lung cancer. He won many awards such as fifty nine Academy Award nominations and 26 Oscars. He has a very rich company. They make 35 billion dollars annually.Before he made his Disney company he was in Laugh O Gram Studios. In the end Laugh O Gram Studios would end up bankrupt. After they went to Hollywood and created their own cartoon studio. Here he would create Mickey Mouse and friends, the Silly Symphonies,and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. They won their first Academy Award from Mickey Mouse. In 1937-1941 Disney was at its golden age. They created Snow White and the seven dwarfs.It made 8 million dollars and was one of the best movies of 1938. After World War 2 he in 1955 he was planning for a Disneyland. In 1966 Walt Disney died.
Walt Disney took 5 years to plan Disneyland. Disneyland would become one of his most successful projects. He got his Disneyland idea from Children's Fairyland,Oakland. It opened on July 18,1955. It is currently the second most visited theme park after Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. 551million people have visited Disneyland. In 1998 Disneyland turned into Disneyland park and it also became a resort. It expanded with Disney's California Park and had a Disneyland Hotel. The lands in Disneyland includeMainStreet,U.S.A.,Adventureland, NewOrleans Square,Frontierland,Fantasyland,Critter Country,Mickey's Toontown,and Tomorrowland.
Walt started making live action movies.(it's not animiated)In 1950-1960 he made Treasure Island,20000 Leagues Under the Sea,The Shaggy Dog,and The Parent Trap.
